I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier and the A/C intermittently turns-on/off. I have read other forum postings and suggestions to replace the Thermal Control Amplifier (part #27675-9Z000), but according to Nissan, that part (part name or number) does not exist in the 2006 model year. I haven't pull-out the glove compartment yet to confirm what Nissan is telling me, but I wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas as to the cause of the problem. System is charged, compressor appears to be functioning fine. I was really hoping it was the Thermal Control Amplifier as the part is relatively cheap. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
