Sometimes on start up the truck takes several seconds to turn out the oil pressure light, as if the pump had no prime. I bought the truck (2005 Frontier V6 4x4 automatic) w/ 98,000 miles and now have 105,000. Changed oil once, it seems like it may be getting worse. Anybody know anything encouraging or is it going to die soon?

It's possible the sensor is just getting coated with crude or slowly going out.  It's just taking it a little longer to read the pressure.  If it bothers you that much you can start simple and have the sensor replaced.

What kind of filter do you have on?
Try changing the oil and put a oem filter on and see if it helps.

I don't believe it's just the sensor, there's a little bit of motor noise associated with it.

I'm using a fram filter, I'll try an OEM. I did intentionally overfill a little with oil yesterday and that seems to have helped.

Over filling is never a good idea. Not only will it help gum up the throttle, but it also creates air bubbles in the oil from the crank shaft hitting it.

Okay, I understand aeration from the crank, I worry about seal problems from that. The same issue vent ahead of the throttle for positve crank case ventilation type thing? Didn't think about it but I suppose these motors must have something that does similar to the old pcv valves?

Nice choice of woods bikes, a little more serious then my KDX's but I only make it out to the forest a couple times a year.

I'm running now just at the top of the dipstick range and it seems to be solving the problem.

Congrats on the harescramble results. Maybe I'll run into you sometime if you ever play at Marienville or Rocky Gap.
