So i just purchased a 2006 frontier king cab se last week...and the second day i had it the gas gauge went out.  I researched and found that there was a recall on it in the year of my truck, and took it to the local nissan dealership to have it fixed.  However, the next day its out yet again.  I called back to the nissan shop, and told them my problem only to hear the response that it must not be the fuel sending unit, which they replaced.  Any ideas?

bad fuel gauge, bad ground, blown fuse or there's a short destroying sending units.  I'd take it back and have them test the sending unit.

We have had concerns after replacing the sending units, Nissan tech guys say to replace the complete fuel pump assy if the new sender acts up. Have had to do this on several vehicles. Get back with the dealer or call Nissan and complain, they have to make it right.
