I am looking to buy a '07 Frontier. It's got 52k on it, v6/auto trans. Everything seems great on the truck with the exception of a speed sensitive engine whirring noise. It sounds kind of like a vacuum cleaner. It gets louder with engine speed.

I thought maybe it was coming from the belts or tensioners at first, Under the hood it sounds like it's coming from the intake manifold area.

Any help?

I was thinking about have the seller take it to shop to double check the sound, or to drive another frontier to verify if it made the sound too.
