2003 Frontier 4 cyl. Service Engine light comes on as fuel gage approaches 1/4. Fill the tank and the light goes out.

I'm not familiar with the acronym DTC. If you're asking for the error code, it's P440.

Are you sure on that code P440-not enough digits in it.
Please recheck. Sounds like an evap code-VCV possibly.
