What is the opinion out there regarding these 2 filters. My air filter is up for change and I was thinking about putting in a K&N. Does the oil in the filter screw up the MAF and is there any gains to be had or just put back in the OEM Filter?

I just put the OEM filter on, I have heard K&N is a money waster...

There has been a lot posted on Bobistheoilguy.com about there. Used oil analyses when these are run show significantly elevated levels of silicone indicating that dust is getting through the filter.  These means increased abrasion.

Do yourself a favor.  Stay with PAPER , preferably an oiled paper like a Nissan OEM filter.  You'll be far better off.
