On my 98 Frontier 5 speed manual, last nite when shifting from 1 st to
2nd the vehicle lurched back and forth roughly and then finally settled
down. It also seemed to do it from 2nd to 3rd (and 3 to 4) but not as
roughly. Once the lurching stops it seems fine. The only thing that
changed yesterday is that I had my air conditioning serviced as it had
not been working due to a bad dryer canister (corroded). After the
service the A/C clutch squealed a bit - I guess due to non use for the
last while. But now even with the A/C off and the clutch not engaged (
I verified this) the lurchy shifting still remains. Thanks in advance
for any ideas.

Possible TPS concern, wiring issue(splices that need to be
soldered in the main engine harness), engine grounds????
