Does anyone know where the sensor for the at cooler fan is located?
Des it sense the AT temp or engine water temp? What turns it on?

The cooling fan motor is controlled by the ECM, which is
for the A/C condensor not the trans cooler. It would either
get an input from the cylinder head temp sensor or the A/C
system pressure sensor.

Does anyone know how to have the external AT fan blow all the time?
Is there a power source I can use Underr the hood that is powered
when the key is turned on? I would like to ensure my tranny fluids
stays as cool as possible .

Automatic transmissions like engines have an optimum or designed operating temperature as does the lubricating/cooling oil used in them. In cold climates it takes a while for the oil to get up to proper temperature.

I don’t think the servos like cold oil and the transmission oil doesn’t like to be hot. 180 to 200 degrees should be a good temperature for both.
