2008 Frontier SE.

I have a blinking passenger-side airbag warning light.  It looks like lots of folks have had this problem as well though often it is caused by some inadvertent triggering that can be cleared.  In fact, I was able to clear mine once.  It has now returned and will no longer clear.

I checked online and found that there had been a recall -

( http://www.arfc.org/autos/nissan/frontier/recalls/0000290970 00284680000000257/recall.aspx?src=100 )

- though only for certain states. For all other states there was a nice long warranty extension provided.

My question is what error codes would confirm that my issue is covered by this extended warranty?  I want to check for them ahead of time to insure that the dealership and I are on the same dance card.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It would be a code for the front crash zone sensor

Thanks for your response.

I will be using a code reader borrowed from O'Reilly Auto parts that provides generic codes.  Do you know if those codes will identify as front crash zone codes or not?

Thanks FrontierGuy.  That's what the O'Reilly guy said when I asked to borrow the reader.

I already have an OBD [USB] cable.  Do you know of any software that will read all of the [Nissan] codes.  It doesn't need to know what the code means, just the alphanumeric code itself.

I just want to confirm that the code is for the front crash zone sensor or not.
