Have 2002 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab. Lost 1 remote, still have 1 working. Bought new remote with same model and FCC ID.

Followed instruction " insert key into ignition 6 times...etc "

Still cannot get to "harzard lamps will flash = programming mode "

Was told by Nissan technician to bring it in to have them clear all data before programming the new remote.

It's not only the cost but also time to bring it in

Thanks in advance for your help

Frontierguy,

Thanks for your response , but I never get passed  step 2.

Was told by Nissan Technician that I heve to get the truck in to have it clear all data on receiving side on the truck for it to accept new data.

Did you lock the doors?? The in and out of the key needs to
be done quickly and consistently. There is no clearing of
the data required. They just want your money$$$$$ You may
have a bad sensor that isn't seeing the "lock" signal @ the
lock cylinder.
