Hi everyone, I am freaking out a little.
I live a ways in a valley on the Canadian west coast. Last week the valley flooded and I couldn't drive out to work. This I only found out after I tried to drive my 2001 Frontier (XE 3.3L mt 4x4, 280k km) in as far as I dared. At some point I decided to turn around (the water was at axle level, an inch or four below the cab).
Now, a day later, the CEL comes on and it seems that every time since, when I check the codes, a new one pops up (the "old" ones stay, too...).
First one to show was P0134. I checked the connector for the right front 02 sensor (the one with the black sleeve over the wires) and there was some water in it, so I dried that out and plugged it back in. Cleared the code, but it came back on the second time I fired up the truck.
This morning it threw code P0140 and just now it added P0430 to the list.
I am freaking out. After my wedding last summer and an accident that put me out of work for 6 months I am pretty darn broke and can't afford anything too major, but I can't do without the truck either.
On a side note: I read in a related post that 3rd party air filters
are a bad idea. Not aware of this I put a new FRAM air filter in a month
or two ago. Any chance that is messing with things, too?
Any advice on how to proceed? Diagnostic tools at my disposal: a basic OBD-II reader, a multi-meter, service manual and a motivated mind...
Can I drive around like this for a while or am I asking for more trouble if I do that?
Any and all advice is very, very welcome.
Thanks, Ben

#1 stick with a Genuine Nissan oil impregnated air
filter. Did you blow out the O2 sensor connector w/
compressed air to dry it? P0140 sounds like an O2 sensor
code also. P0430 is a TW cat code. Put in a Nissan air
filter, clean the MAFS sensor, clean and tighten the
engine grounds, clear the codes and see what happens.
