I have lurked here before for mod ideas and basic maintenance. Fortunately I have had zero problems with my 02 Frontier 4x4 crew cab 3.3......until now! She is pushing 110k and I was about to change timing belt when she developed a pretty bad oil leak from rear of engine. I am going to put her in the air and get a good look around oil pan and check close around the valve covers. Most of the oil seems to be around where transmission bolts up (makes me think rear main)
I also have an 87 Hardbody ext cab 4x4 5sp 4 banger with 230k and I have pulled tranny a couple of times, as well as the head.
Are their any other oil leak suspects that I should check?
If I have to seperate transmission and engine, should I pull completely and replace anything on it ? (I also planned on ujoints at this point)
I love my trucks and I want to get this oil leak resolved this weekend.
Thanks in advance, and fire away with any tips or ideas.
