I went ahead and installed the Automotive Customizers' "Deluxe" Kit, with the replacement front coils, replacement front shocks, positive arch add-a-leaf and replacement rear shocks.  I also installed the replacement cam bolts.  The ride is just a little bit firmer, with an occasional "crash" over abrupt potholes on and off road.  There is no contact with the coil buckets with this modification.  I installed a set of Cooper Discoverer S/Ts, 255/85R-16, at the same time.  It's a relatively tall/skinny tire, 33.2" OD.  This tire required removing the front plastic air dam and the remaining plastic front mudflap.  I also had to trim the plastic attachment points for the air dam.  Now the tires stay clear, even with the front suspension fully stuffed in a wheelwell.  Overall, I'm quite pleased with the changes.  Beats dragging the aftermarket skid plates on almost every rutted tw-track in the desert.
