Welcome to the group! If you use wider and/or taller tires you will reduce fuel mileage and increase wear on the brakes. If you widen the front track width (spacing between front tires) you will be icreasing the scrub angle causing reduced wheel bearing and tire life. It will look great to some folks and stupid to others. But go ahead and spend the money... the economy needs the help!

Oh and get you some 22 inch pimp wheels...

Have a good one on me! Don S..

ok, now i feel i've been insulted, and i do take offense. i very much appreciate the information, that's why i'm here. but the extra, smart comments aren't really necessary. i would like to have my truck feel more sturdy, and yes, i think it would make it look a little better. i'm not some fag looking to 'pimp my ride', i'm just looking to better my truck, hence, my appreciation for the actual knowledge shared.

Sorry about that!

But if you can't take a little ribbing on the Inernet you better find some armor.

Wheel spacers there are many out there just look online. Here are few thing bout wheel spacers the wider stance can give u a little more traction offroad and the stance would look neat and may help you from tapping your fenders. With that said wheel bearing life will be shorter and cv axle wear can be increased. whenever you put your tires further away from the truck you will put strain on your ride. It would be hard to say on improving MPG while going with larger tires just plus size the tires maybe by 2inchs the most. Keep filters clean air and fuel ilters to clean change your oil every 3500mi and run a good oil filter like a napa gold or a bosch fiter I`ve had good luck in the past with these filters on other cars of mine. Flipflop if were hoping to hear a certin CAI or catback kit to help with mpgs its tough for me to tell some to spend 500-600 bucks on stuff that may only increase mpg by 1- maybe 2mpg increase. best way to save fuel slow down if the speed limit is 55 do 50 that the best I can say for you best of luck to ya.
