So I need new tires. But more than that I want to upgrade them. I do not
want to have to lift my truck...can I just put slightly larger tires on the stock
rimes?

I have 30.5x9.5x15 on stock XE/SE rims.. and they look and sound great.. and feel great too.. overall if I had to do it over again, I'd see if I could go up to something like 265/70/15 but that's about all I'd do.. they're both about the same, but mine are a bit wider.. I'm almost positive you could fit 31's with 0 rubbing and a possible 32 with a bit of rubbing.. maybe crank the torsion bars a bit and do no rubbing.. dunno if it's possible.. Frontierguy, anything else?

..

jennaK:

Welcome to the group!

There are eight or more unrelated suspension and running gear systems in the 1998 to 2010 Frontiers.

It would be nice if our members would add their vehicle information to their signature (similar to mine) plus add their City and State . A member in the same town might be willing to drop by and help you with a problem. Or drink all your beer!

Have a good one while you can afford it! Don S..

Here is a paste-up list of some the things needed for comparing wheels.

Diameter – width – lug pattern – back space – centering hole size - lug/hub centric? (centering) – stud size - lug style – lug size -

Titan Bolt pattern is 6-5.5" also listed as 6-139.7mm sometimes.

Weld's wheels application catalog references Titan hubs as 3.072” HUB I.D

The 1999 Frontier Se cast aluminum 4x4 wheels are hub-centric, 6 lugs on 5.5” dia., 15”dia. X 7” wide, 5.250 Back Spacing, centering hole is 3.925 inches in diameter.

TIRES

. Modifying a vehicle with lifts and larger or wider tires is detrimental to fuel mileage and brake life.
