Anyone seen these vortex generators or use one? I've found dozens of them on Ebay claiming 30% horsepower increases just by inserting some twisted sheet metal in your intake.

Great concept that would work if the intake system was actually one straight shot.  There are too many bends and size changes in the system for it to be totally effective.  For the amount of money they want, it's not worth it.

Thats what I thought. If it was mounted between the throttle body and the engine it might help atomize the fuel, but i doubt its very effective right after the air filter. I might make one and try it out. all you need is a dryer duct and some tin snips...

Was dumb enough to believe that ad myself. Bought the turbonator and only thing i did was waste time and money on it. Still waiting to hear if anyone has found a programmer for the 01 V6 but not getting many results.

only thing that resembles a programmer in any sense is a power control module, and only 2 that I have seen, one made by Jet can be found at www.autoanything.com  or www.4x4parts.com and there is also something called Venom 400 control module which can be found at www.autoanything.com and it basically intercepts signals sent to the computer and recals fuel map and ignition timing i believe....seen mixed reviews on the venom, but who knows....

Mixed reviews on the venom is better than the trash talk i have seen from jet's work. One of the other forums i frequent said they wouldnt let jet tune their lawnmower. now that is just plain scary. Thanks for the thought on the venom, will look into it and see what i find out.!!
