Ive got a 2001 Frontier Crew Cab SE V6 4x4 and I'm going to start doing some work on it. I'm gonna get the gibson catback and the afe intake system from SLR to start with, but I found a Power Control Module for $189 on 4x4parts.com and I was wondering if anyone has used this? I'm wondering if its worth the money and if it actually works... because I know with some piggy backs you have to keep reseting your ECU and its not worth it...

honestly i've asked about that before and kcid indicated to me i think that it basically tricks your ECU into thinking your at a higher throttle response than you are by remapping the fuel system and ignition timing i believe, he'd be better qualified to answer that, thare is also another system called the venom 400 which i've seen very mixed reviews on in general for varied applications, you'd probably honestly be better off ignoring that and spending money on some of the other stuff that SLR has like the headers and cam, although 4x4parts.com has some cams for the frontys as well, then after all is said and done if you want to upgrade the ECU hit up jet for the reflash and they can adjust it for your mods as well from what i've read....as i mentioned in my other post all depnds on the money and cash...but i dont' know about that particular unit, your best bet wold be to do soem reading, because i emailed www.4x4parts.com awhile back on it when i first saw it cause it looks exactly like Jet's power control module in the picture and they responded by saying it was Jet's power control module, they just dont' advertise it as that, and they would probably be able to tell you about any technical question like the one you posed.
