in my last truck i found a huge difference from a k&n drop in filter and a full K&N FIPK II intake system, much much more power and 1-2 mpg. That was on my chevy truck, on my 2001 Frontier CC SC i didnt have it a week before i removed the stock air intake and replaced it with an airraid intake. If you dont mind the noise it makes it has made a lot of difference in the power but not as big of a difference in the mileage, hope this helps. |

Did you actually take the truck to a dyno for a before/after test, or to a drag strip?
I have found the K&Ns ALONE just make more noise, and the claimed 10hp cannot REALLY be felt in the "seat of the pants".
A combination of Intake/exhaust AND a computer chip seems to be the best way as the timing needs adjusted with the greater intake-exhaust flow.
Not even sure that 25-30hp claimed with all 3 will be that big of a deal. Maybe .1 off a 0-60 time?
