I'd like to buy a frontier with manual transmission and crew cab but also a roof rack to tie down a kayak. Preferably a nismo or pro-4x model with skid plates and a locker but the crew cab version of the off road models don't have manual as an option.

The question is: is it possible to add a nismo/LE roof rack to a crew cab manual SE as an aftermarket part?

Or...is tying the kayak/canoe down with it sitting directly on the roof of the Frontier enough stability?

I don't know if you can buy the roof rack as a add on if the truck didn't come
with it.
I wouldn't put the kayak directly on the roof without scratching the roof and
securing it would be a pain.
I have a roof rack and 2 fit perfect on it.
My last few trucks were manuals, now I have a automatic. It is a nice change.
