I'm getting my old 2000 Frontier king cab, that our granddaughter has been driving for a few years, fixed up to sell. The headliner is gone and I need to replace it. I'm thinking of buying some cloth backed naugahyde from a fabric store. I've used it to cover boat seats and it's tough stuff, cleans easily and I think it comes in a light gray that would match my interior (or be close). Does anyone have a reason that this woudn't work as a headliner using 3M 90 adhesive? I can buy enough fabric for less than a third or less of what a headliner kit costs.
Any comments? concerns? suggestions? Thanks
