I just bought my first Nissan Frontier, I have had several Toyota's. I have had friends that have had many Nissan's so I thought it would be my turn. What is recomendation for the first oil change based on miles?

3K works for me for the first time with Amsoil full
synthetic, then once a year.

The Maintenance Guide says oil and filter at 3750 or 7500 depending on how and where you drive it.  My truck had been on the dealers lot for several months before I bought it so I changed it at 1200.  I might have wasted a few dollars but it made me feel more comfortable.

From now on I'll follow the recommendation in the guide and change it every 7500 using synthetic oil unless I drive it in really dusty conditions then I'll change it sooner.
