Welcome to the group!
The problem with the 2005 automatic transmissions was the cooling core in the radiator. If that core is by passed with an external cooling coil.. and you don't live in a real cold climate they should be OK. Or you could just replace the Radiator with a new better one. The automatic transmissions seem to have less problems than the manuals. The 2004 and older Frontiers are a little smaller and less powerful but I like them!!!
