I bought a 2004 XE King Cab, V6, Manual, 4wd last weekend and I love it.  Previously in a 1995 Pathfinder for 10 years.  Great vehicles!

Anything I should be aware of on the 2004?  Thanks.

to continue my message from last night.

The Frontier has 93K on it and I purchased from the original owner.  So happy with it because my Pathfinder was nearing the end of it's life and begining to cost me $ each month.  Any advice on donating a vehicle?

My first tank I got 17 MPG and that was 75% HWY and 25% in town miles.  Not bad, considering I was getting 12-14 MPG in my Pfinder.

I know that I will be due for timing, water pump, etc. in approx 10k.  Are there other known issues that I should keep in mind as I approach the 100k mark?

Does anyone have any plans for a carpet kit/bed in their Frontier that they have been happy with?

Thanks - John

..

Welcome to the group!

I cut a 3/8 plywood sheet to fit the bottom of the bed with about a ¼ inch clearance. I then covered the top with outdoor carpet. I built it for my ’95 4x4 hardbody but it fits the Frontier the same. The wife and I go camping in the Colorado Mountains and we sleep in the truck bed. It’s a little tight but we don’t have to worry about bugs and bears. The bed and tail gate on our ’99 still look just like new..

Have a good one.. Don S..
