What's up? My name is Kyle, I live in Killeen, Texas I'm 21, currently in
the US Army, just got home from Iraq a week ago, I'm a certified
mechanic both military and civilian, I mainly work on diesel engines but
I'm certified in both. I have a 2012 Nissan frontier I just recently
purchase since I finished my projects on both my 03 gt and cobra
mustangs, I plan on getting a 2 inch leveling kit with 32 or 30" tires but
this is my first time working on a Nissan type car, I'm excited to start but
not sure what most of you have done with yours and would love some
ideas. I got plenty experience behind my belt, I use to work for multiple
garages and spent 2 years 16-18 at a wel known performance shop in
st Louis.

..

Welcome to the group... And glald you're back safe and sound. Many thanks from an old Air Force Brat!

Check out the varyous forums... there is a lot of information in them. Gosh! I haven't even seen a 2012 Frontier. Is the body the same as the 2011s?

There are a lot of Titins in my area. I live a ways from town...

Have a good one.. Don S..

2012 has the same body, pretty much the same truck, I really don't
know the specifics are what is different, I love having it though haha

welcome to the org, and welcome back. I just got back
from another fun field trip in Afghan. Don't ask me how
many times I've been that direction as I've quit
counting. Apparently I lost my sanity on the first trip
and they keep sending me back to find it or something.

I was only a couple of tests away from ASE master tech
myself, but with budget cuts they've quit paying for our
tests on the AF side.

As far as tires, I'd personally look at the tire options
for both sizes, then pricing. My personal favorites are
Toyo Open Country M/T, and the classic BFGoodrich TA KO.
Can't go wrong with either.

Lol luckily I have only been once, thank u for ur service, my dad was af
for 23 years retired at Scott afb. With those tires how much you think it
will bring down gas mileage?

the way you drive honestly has a bigger factor on gas
mileage than going that small of a tire change. If you
tend to floor it everywhere, then the 30" might be a better
choice. But if you tend to just cruise along and take your
time going places, the 32" is going to hinder you any.
