Greetings,

I moved to Denver to be near family, but I also want to play in the mountains, up and down the Front Range.  Was looking only at Tacomas and Frontiers and I just bought a 2002 Frontier, 4x4 supercharged V6.  Love it so far!

Will pick it up tomorrow and just interested in hearing from folks who own the same:
  • what you like/love
  • what you dislike/hate
  • what to watch out for
  • preventative care for that year
  • tips and to-dos
  • advice on buying a topper for the bed
  • good vibes and mystical predictions

..

Welcome to the group!

Doin' the mountain trails in Colorado has been my hobby for over 25 years. I liked to do the Mountain Passes the best. Did 261 total and 40 or more were dirt, rock, mud, ice, snow and some creek/river crossings. Did most in a nearly stock '76 Wagoneer. Done every thing in the San Juan's plus a bunch in my '99 Frontier.

Black Bear, Engineer and Imogene are fun. Tin Cup, Taylor, Webster, and Pearl are good also. Red Cone is a nice one but is one way only. Remember..Up Hill has the right of way on the narrow trails.

If you haven't been over the edge..yet.. Don't worry.. You will know it when you are on the way down!!!

Have a warm one.. Dons..
