1st frontier. Its been a great truck for the past ten
years. I hope its OK to ask a question here. I am looking
at Distributors to replace mine. here is the question:
Why
is it that in any given parts store a distributor price
can
range from $250 to $400. give or take. But on Amazon or
ebay there are 20 0r 30 venders lined up selling the
distributor for $60. Are these distributors junk? Too
good
to be true? Whats up ? |

Zinger,
On Electronic Part's it's best to get a Genuine Nissan
Part imo.
However the Cheaper part may be just as good but You'll
have to get both parts and examine them to try and see
which is better quality.
I have a Chinese Tractor and I needed to replace the
water pump. The Price's were much cheaper on Amazon and
Ebay than from the 3 or 4 major parts supplier's. I
opted to save money and ordered the cheapest I could find
on Ebay. The Pump had part's that weren't the same as
the OE Part and the Pulley Didn't line up with the
Crankshaft Pulley. It was a Free Return,, they didn't
want the Pump Back and just refunded my money.
The Next Cheaper Pump I purchased on Amazon. Although It
wasn't Put Together Exactly like the OE Pump, The
Pulley's Lined up and The Important Part's were the Same
and of Good Quality. I mounted the Pump and so far it
has been performing Good. I saved about $130.00.
You can also go on WalMart.com and see if there is an OE
part's Seller that has the part @ a lower price. TPD is
an OE Part's Seller that I've bought Genuine Nissan OE
Part's From @ a Much Lower price than @ the Dealer. Some
Nissan part's Department's are selling on Amazon, Ebay, &
Walmart.com @ Lower Price's.
You can Google the Nissan Part # and See if Someone is
Selling the Genuine Nissan OE distributor @ a Lower
Price.
It's a Real Gamble on electronic part's as it's hard to
get a refund once you make the purchase.
On a Distributor I would Lean Heavy on a Genuine Nissan
but You'll have to decide which way to go. I would try
to purchase from a Seller that offer's a Free Return and
a Full Refund if you choose not to go Genuine Nissan.
