Just wanted to introduce myself and my truck to the forum. My name is Derek and I am a Staff Sergeant in the US Army working in mortuary affairs (i.e. autopsies and embalming). I got a 2005 Canteen Colored, fit with the military lifestyle, King Cab SE 4x2. Would have loved to get the 4x4 Nismo, but that didn't fit with the military pay style. Haven't added too much to it yet. All I have so far is some Aries Offroad Nerf bars, Truxedo Tonneau Cover, and a pair of rain gaurds over the windows. Future planned upgrades include a new air intake, brush guard and some chrome accessories.

The truck holds up quite well while I am bombing down the autobhan, I live in Germany, doing 105 mph!

Welcome to org... our first grunt.  LOL.  You've walked into a world of Airmen and a couple of jar heads.  As well as a few foreigners and civilians.  I'm a SSgt in the AF (your Sgt.)  and work as a mechanic for heavy equipment.

Hi and welcome. You have to be pretty gung ho to get a military color almost like olive drab. I'm a 5 year Marine and a 15 year Navy Seabee. Retired in 1996.

Port Why ME..... LOL  Spent 6 months there for Automotive Maintenance training for the AF.

It's not a bad place... nicely situated between everything.  Man I remember that Mazda had just designed the last Protege' model while I was there.  Rows and Rows of mazdas and Volvos.    It was almost like I was in heaven or something.  Too bad they brought the RX8s in AFTER I left.  I would have loved to seen that sight.

sorry to revive an old thread.  I was wondering how you liked the truxedo cover.  I am torn on what to get and this was one that grabbed my attention.  Did you notice an increase in gas mileage and highway stability?

thanks

mike
