I got the RF premium audio system on my '07 Nissan Frontier (it came with the sunroof package) and I want to replace it with an in-dash GPS/ DVD player combo.
I was wondering, has anyone here done this? Any caveats? Also, does anyone know if there's a way to hook up those cool little steering wheel controls to a system that is NOT OEM? (not expecting any joy there, but it'd be nice). Will I have any problem with the multiple speaker system that comes with the premium sound system (I don't want to leave out any speakers or anything, and I don't know if there's a different pigtail for the audio connector)
Anyone have any input?

Depending on what system you get, there shouldn't be a huge problem with maintaining the steering wheel controls, if you check at Crutchfield.com or even best buy, they should have adapters to be able to connect it to an aftermarket system, as I was told that several companies make their units capable of doing this. As far as speaker use, I would only be guessing but figure you should be able to utilize them all, but that is going to be dependant on the unit as well I would imagine. Several others here might be able to give you a better answer.
