is there any way to hook up an amplifier to my factory headunit? i own a 2008 nissan frontier le without the fosgate system. i would like to know if the radio has rca imputs or if there is an adapter that converts the cd changer outputs to rca? thank you

I have the same problem, but with an '06 and the factory, oem, non-Rockford head unit.  Luckily, my amp accepts inputs from head units that do NOT have pre-amp outs.  I pulled the head out to have a look-see, but there are NO extra ports.  An image of the back can be found here (except mine doesn't have that weird input second from right).

Has anyone wired their own amp to such a unit without resorting to a converter?  Doing my own wiring doesn't scare me, but I would like to know which wire goes where.  Or if they in fact WILL go anywhere.
