Recently I was washing my truck at one of those power washer places where you put the quarters in and spray,...

well, there was a setting for pre-rinse... it was a neon green type substance and really worked great on the body but, the undercarraige... nope..

It literally "cleans" everything. Now my suspension is a bit squeeky. Next time, I'll use good old soapy water on the undercarriage... just a little FYI... for all you clean fanatics.

I hand wash... and wax my truck.  Mostly because of the stickers.  I need to try that new Nu-finish Scratch remover.

I like handwashing but in this case it was nice... there was a ton of bug guts all over and the pre-rinse took it all off... hell the stuff could probably take off your skin if you weren't careful.

joehova , is the squeek coming for the front or rear,  i get a squeek from the front  i have grease my upper control arm bushings every now and then.  bounce the front of your truck and see if it's the front.  or it could be your sway bar squeekin.

Dude, it's coming from the front and back... when I get oil changes done at the dealership... since they wash my truck and do everything for me, I tell them to grease the control arm bushings and I tell them to make sure the squeek goes away... never does.. I think I'm going to have to get off my lazy @$$ and do it myself.. no big deal though. Thanks for the tip.

also try the sway bar. on xterraownersclub.com there is a post about zerk fitting your a-arm bushing to grease it very easy.  i think i have it in my email.  let me find it and i'll post it.  when you grease the a-arms move the arm up and down while your greasing it.

 | You guys talking about sqeaks got caught my interest. I just bought a new king cab and am getting the wrong kind of attention driving into the parking garage at work. Everyone looks to see what is sqeaking and it's my new truck with the dealer tags on it. If the dealers give lousy grease jobs, I probably need to take it to my old oil change place. |

I still have my nice popping noise.  Did a quick snoop around but didn't find anything.  Need to pull my wheels off sometime.

I am wondering how long the average Frontier owner can last before changing out the sealed joints for greaseable fittings?

I'm probably going to have to say, as soon as they become available... My truck didn't have any squeeks until I used the prerinse stuff, but I think a little bit of white lithium grease would do wonders.

The Dealership used the lithium and it took care of the squeek from the leaf pack.
