Does anyone know what the problem may be for my brake light problem.  When I park my truck the brake light sometimes will come on hours after being parked.  It will just "pop on".  What could be causing this?  It happened yesterday while I was at work and I did not see it all day until I was going home at the end of the day and the battery was dead and I had to get a jump.  Please help.

Thank you!

It is probably the switch for the lights that is located at the brake pedal.  Either stuck or shorted out.  Your dealer probably has one in stock or can gt it for you.  Easy to install yourself.

It may need to be adjusted.

What does the switch look like?  I have tried to find it by the brake but don't know what I am looking for.  Thanks again.....

It would be ideal if you make the installation of brake light switch or stop light switch, which would cost you less. Check OEM parts as well as they are also great in quality. :)

it's probably the plastic plug on the brake pedal. they fall apart after some time.
