i am new to this site, just found it and was reading the thermal control amp problem. so i just finished putiing this in (thanks to you guys directions) and ac still blowing warm air. not hot just warm. i'm sorry i forgot i have a 2002 frontier 4x2, manual, crew cab with the short bed, and 116k, a topper painted to match (will have pic up soon). i am in my final semester of nursing school so the next 6 months will be very tight with xtra expenses for school, but it is hot in kentucky and need ac. got the refrigerant can from autozone and tried that route, but ac only blew cold for about 3-4 min, is this a leak or something else? brought truck to local service garage and he says that being a 2002 the refrigerant shouldn't need recharged. if anyone can help please do, and if i have forgot to post something please ask and i will reply asap, thank you guys very much.

..

Welcome to the group!...

My guess is a leak. To find the leak the system can be charged with a dye that can be seen with a special lght. My "99 has not leaked yet but some will leak in a couple of years.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

It would be nice if our members would add their vehicle information to their signature (similar to mine) plus add their City and State . A member in the same town might be willing to drop by and help you with a problem. Or drink all your beer!
