I tried to post this earlier, but it messed up. My problem is that I pushed the ac button yesterday and the light came on, but the compressor never kicked on. Is this a symptom of a bad tca? My truck is 10 years old and has 170k on it, and I have never had any problems with the ac. According to some of the posts I have read on here, I have been lucky because it seems like these things are notorious for going bad.

Very possible. Also may be low or out of refrigerant.

If it is low or out of refrigerant, would that keep the compressor from kicking on? Thanks for the info, by the way.

..

Many A/C systems do not engage the clutch when the system is low on refrigerant/oil in order to protect the compressor from damage.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

You have to ask yourself, why is the stock market surging upward while hundreds

of thousands are still losing jobs? It must be the change!
