Hey everyone.

I just picked up a 2003 V6 4wd crew cab with 80,000 miles.  I'm pretty sure everything's OK, but I thought I'd run it by the forum anyway ...

It seems overly bumpy going down the road.  There's no play in the steering and the shocks are fine - no bounce at all when I put a knee on the bumper, just down and slowly comes back up like it should.  I used it to take a load of cedar branches (probably less than 150lbs.) to the dump the other day and hoped that the extra weight in the back would ease the bumpiness, but it didn't really seem to help.

Like I said, I assume it's normal, just stiff suspension, but I was hoping to hear others say the same thing.  It's been about 10 years since I had a 4x4 pickup and can't remember if it rode that way or not (it was a 91 Nissan 4x4).

hi, im just new in this forum, i was just wondering because im trying to upgrade my tires to a bigger one wat do u guys recommend i get? and do i need to lift my truck higher,? by the by i have an 07 v6 frontier SE. thanks hope to here from u guys soon

At 46,000 miles I put Monroe Sens-atracks on the rear Of My '99 Frontier 4x4. It handled the bumps a lot better. They didn't make Sens-atracks for the front so I used another type of Monroe shock on the front. The new front shocks were not as good as the the old factory Nissan shocks I took off!!!

I had used Monroe Sens-atracks on all 4 corners of my '95 4x4 Hard Body and they were Very good.

BTW... My '99 4x4 Frontier rode a heck of a lot better than the '99 4x4 Toyota I was trying out.

Thanks for the replies.  I was hoping others would say that they've experienced similar handling.  Now I can set my mind at ease.
