Hi everyone,

I have noticed in the last couple of weeks a rattling sound coming from the front of my 2008 Frontier (crew cab V6 10000 miles)

It's very noticable when driving over uneven ground at speeds from 10-25mph and it sounds like a bag of bolts rattling. I checked underneath to see if the brake pad retaining clips had fallen out ( that kind of noise) but everything looks ok?

The truck is under warranty but I would like to hear from anybody if they have had any similar experience or noise and what it took to rectify it?

Sounds like it could be sway bar links. Grab the sway bar and try to move it
up and down, there should be no play.

Hi There, thanks very much but with only 10,000 miles on the truck, would the sway bar links be gone that early???

I didn't see that it only had 10k on it, I would still check very easy to do.
You could get under the vehicle with a rubber mallet and check for anything
loose.
Check the oil filter cover and shields, or rocks got up in the shields.

Check the narrow clamps on the exhaust shields.

Anyway , I just got the truck back from ther dealership and they could not find a thing loose underneath. They said they had 4 people driving it and non of them could hear a thing . I think I will end up solving this myself!!

Though I did get a 10k service done for free.

easiest way is drag a couple of mechanics along with you and take it for a drive. otherwise they'll never hear it.

Thats what I told them I would do next time I get back to them with the noise which will be very soon I think
