Hello,

I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier, 4x4, V6 - 5 speed.   I was wondering if anyone knew where the switch to turn on the reverse lights is located.  Sometimes when I put the truck in reverse the lights come on, sometimes they don't.   If I "jiggle" the shifter the "right" way the lights come on.  I'm assuming it's the switch.

Thanks for the help,

Brian

It should mounted to the side of the transmission.  Look for a wire set similar to that, should be $12-$15 at a parts store.

..could you provide a location on the transmission for this switch?  I looked up front, near the shift lever, and didn't see it.

If memory serves me correctly, it is mounted on the transfer assy. With the ignition on, unplug one of the switches, jump the wires together in the harness, see if the lites come on. One switch is for the b/up lites the other is for 4wd or neutral position, can't recall right now-tired and brain dead!!
Just had a brain fart, isn't there a switch on the right side toward the front of the transmission???
