I have had two 4 cylinder Nissan frontiers that both had a problem stalling in high humidity.  One was a 1998 and the other is a 2000.  I have also spoke with another owner who has the same problem.  In high humidity, around 90% and above, the engine barely starts and runs very rough.  You can drive it but it will stall if you give it too much gas.  When the humidity drops and the weather becomes dry again no problems at all.  Any idea what the cause of this problem is?

There is new dist available for this vehicle described in NTB00-086. If you remove the dist cap -rotor and plate-spray out the accumulated dust with compressed air(don't lose the spring in the coil tower). Reinstall the plate, install a new GENUINE NISSAN cap and rotor, should be good to go. Most people don't want to shell out for the new style dist assy., so this is a much cheaper fix.

That sounds like it should fix the problem.  I'll order the parts, try it and see.  Thanks for the help.
