First off, this site is great, used it to fix my a/c. I have a 2000 frontier 4x4 that starts to vibrate badly above about 40mph. Tightened my sway bar-no help. Checked my front u joints-no play it seems. tires are balanced. CV joints dont have much play. Is it cool to pull my front drive shaft to eliminate the poss of it being the problem rather than changing them for nothing?

Thanks
Jason

If the rear driveshaft has ever been out to replace the carrier brg assy., it may have been assembled incorrectly, meaning the two u-joints are out of phase. Or possibly there is a bad u-joint.

Rear driveshaft has never been out. I will check the rear u joints again in case I missed something. So, is it cool to drive it without the front driveshaft to eliminate it in the search?

Thanks

Jason

Consider that you may have an unbalanced drive shaft.  There are small weights on them that can fall off.  Look for a "clean" rectangular area that may indicate this.  It is not a big deal to have a shaft rebalanced.
