I have a 2000 Frontier 4wd 4cyl with 155k. My check
engine light came on and threw the code for the EGR
valve. I changed out the EGR valve and everything seemed
ok. Well about a week ago my girlfriend took the truck on
a 2and half hour trip suddenly the truck was acting as if
it did not want to go. Kept stuttering and jerking like
it was out of gas. The check engine light came back on.
She finally got it home we parked it up and the next day
it drove fine. It seems to only have this problem after
it has been driven for a long period of time. I went to
auto zone to have the check engine light looked at and it
threw two codes the first one was P0400 in the print out
it gave me it said EGR function no/low flow detected.
Probable causes: EGR passages blocked, EGR pintle stuck
closed, EGR volume control valve open or shorted, or EGR
temperature sensor error. The second code was P0171 Fuel
system lean bank 1 Probable cause: low fuel pressure,
blocked injectors, large vacuum leak, or MAF sensor
fault. So I guess my question is which of these things do
you think is causing the truck to do what it is doing and
where should I start to try and fix this problem? Any
feedback would be greatly appreciated.

There are 4 allen head plugs in the intake manifold which can be removed to clean out any carbon deposits. Most likely you will need a new MAFS. are you using a GENUINE NISSAN OIL IMPREGNATED AIR FILTER?????
