So my 2000 nissan frontier se 4x4 has been giving me problems for a while. I've already reaplaced the timing belt, water pump, quite a few hoses, the knock sensor, the mass airflow sensor and and the connecstor to the mass airflow sensor. Almost every time I stop at a stoplight my truck dies, not immediately as soon as I stop but after about a min of sitting the engine just cuts out. I can start It right back up every time but sometimes the engines struggles and then cuts out again while I'm trying to get it goin. I've noticed every time I slightly wiggle the connector to the mass airflow sensor the engine dies. If i push the connector to the left if works better but still dies after a little bit. If I push it to the right then it dies immediately. I don't have a check engine light on and it doesn't have problems when I am driving just when I stop and idle or occasionally when I'm pushing in the clutch to take a turn. It freaks me out and is very dangerous because I lose power steering every time it dies. Any help would be greatly appriciated bc at this point I'm thinking about taking an rpg to this thing and cutting my losses.

When you say the parts have been replaced, does this mean
new genuine Nissan parts, after market, used ??????? It
sounds like the main concern is at the MAFS connection due
to the fact the concern is duplicated by wiggling it. Has
the idle speed been set correctly using the correct steps.
Are you using a genuine Nissan oil impregnated air
filter????????

We put in new genuine Nissan parts and yes the idle speed was set correctly using the correct steps but the air filter is an after market filter. I ziptied the connector to keep it from wiggling to try to find a temporary solution but the problem still persists to happen.

You may have a bad MAFS, even though it's "new".....My truck did the same exact thing....wiggle the connection, and it died.   This part had almost $80.00 core charge on it....

I replaced the MAFS, and the problem went away.  There was no check engine light associated with this bad part.

That's exactly what we just figured out too. The new MAFS
was bad. One of the connections on the inside of the MAFS
was unstable and losing connection consistently. We just
put another one in and it seems to be running fine. They're
doing more diagnostics on it to make sure that that's it.
