so my power steering pump is locking up when i turn the wheel. like a fool i have started throwing parts at it. i replaced the pump and the gear box and its still doing this. there is no fluid leaking and no air bubbles in the system. i pulled the lines out and shot air through them to see if they were clouged and they werent. if anyone has any suggestions please help!!!!

i just recieved a safety recall for all 02-04 model
frontiers and exterra's about the "steering column joint"
and i quote "corrosion may form in the steering column
joint. if the vehicle continues to be driven in this
condition.....Cracking of steering shaft.....breakage of
steering shaft, etc. etc."
they said they will replace it free if I bring it in, I
dont know if anyone has recieved any similar mail but I
have noticed steering problems recently.
not sure if this helps but hope it does.

yes I did got it in mail and i call them and made app. to have it done it takes about 40 to 45 mins at no charge !
