Hi. I have a 2005 Nissan Frontier SE with a manual transmission. It
currently
has about 55K on it. For the last 5-10K something odd has been
happening.
FIrst I noticed that my cruise control would shut off if I approached hills
on the
interstate. This has gotten pretty bad. Any little hill I approach it cuts off.
In addition when I accelerate my rpm gauge seems to jump up a bit
beyond
the actual rpm that the truck is running. I know this because the rpm
ends
up coming back down a bit after a couple of seconds. Now I have to give
a lot of gas to get the truck going. It feels likes I am starting off in second
gear after a complete stop. I need some help
diagnosing the issue.
Thanks
Jayma

It sounds like the clutch is slipping.

Thanks for the response. That is what I was somewhat guessing. However I
was just guessing. Thank you for your input.
