I'm experiencing problems with the temp. on my 2003 XE Frontier (2WD). Occasionally the temp. goes 3/4 and suddenly goes down to normal.

I have replaced the Thermost. and the Fan clutch plus the radiator cap. Also the radiator was flushed a couple months ago for what I don't expect it to be in bad conditions.

Should I replace the temp sensor???

That would seem like the next thing to do.

Sometimes the rivet comes loose on the temp sender
connector, solder should correct it or replace it.

Temp sensor is for the guage, coolant sensor for the ECU.
Is the coolant set for -30, too strong(full strength) can
create all kinds of concerns.
