The air bag light is flashing on the dasy, im wondering how to find the code to see what is the problem.  i have a parts truck with fully functioning air bags, i just want to know how to find what piece is the problem to replace it.  98 frontier xe, 4x4, 4 cyl 5 speed, king cab.

Let me guess, you just had the audio system out of the
truck and the ignition was on with the center dash assy.
out? This is where the switch is located for the pass. air
bag. If not, go to your dealer and have it scanned for
codes.

nope, had nothing to do with the dash apart or anything, it just came on one day when i started the truck.  the pass airbag light comes on and then goes off as it should, but the air bag light by the speedo stays flashing all the time.  I kinda suspect a seatbelt retractor or something, but i dont know for sure.
