Hey guys im new to the forum was just searching online looking for
answers to my steering problem.. so here it is. I have a 2001 frontier (2.4
auto XE 2wd) and little while ago i was on my friends property in a grass
field. It was a little high so i didn't see the stump in front of me. i hit it
and really messed up my steering. I found out my center link and tie rod
on the driver side were heavily damaged and my ball joints weren't
looking to good since im at 150k so i decided to replace it all on both
sides. Upper ball joints and control arms. lower ball joint, center link and
all inner and out tie rods. In the time that it took me to get everything
replaced I wore through my front tires pretty good, the outside part of the
tread is worn real bad (almost bald) and the inside looks pretty decent. I
just got it aligned and it still doesnt seem good. whenever i turn the wheel
pretty far, for u turns hard turns etc the tire seems to really angle out and
turn off axis i was told its like tire folding? but i cant figure out why. Im
going to get new tires next week and I didnt want to get them unless I
knew that my truck wouldnt ruin them quick too. So my question is- is
there anything else this might be wrong with it? any tips tricks questions
etc please let me know. Thanks!!!!
