Hey guys! Just real quick my dad is an original owner of a 2002 nissan frontier CC v6... and I have a 2012 v6 mustang (hence ONMY6). Anyways. I borrow his truck and do lawns with it a yr ago or so the handle snapped. And we were just lazy and never replaced it... we just use a screw driver. how hard do you think it is to replace a tail gate assembly? Also, The one black cord (i guess you can say) that is connected from the tailgate to the truck fell off. As in the bolt literally snapped... IDK how or why. But, this I need to replace as it aids in supporting the tailgate and loading a $2k lawn mower on a busted tailgate is scary lol. So, I was looking around different part places and couldnt find the screw... is it specific or just a generic screw in there?
Thanks, Ryan

Check local wrecking yards or the dealer...

The same thing happened to me a couple years ago... just went to open the tail gate and the piece of crap snapped right off... as of now i also use screw drivers to open the tailgate. A new handle cost about $30 or so. I found a number of decent dealers on Ebay that had some good deals on them. I have yet to buy and replace mine but I hope to do it soon. If I find anything out ill update on this thread.
