I just bought a 2001 3.3 6 Cyl SE crew cab, 135k on it. I test drove it a few miles, gave it a few good runs, hit the brakes, listened to a very quiet, smooth engine run, turned it on/off several times without problem.
When I pulled in my driveway the service engine soon light was on.?!?!?!
Horn is inoperative, can't see the fuze labeled horn. (Is there a site with schematics on it?)
Is there a site with codes I can check on so I know a little more than what auto zone tells me when I have them check it tomorrow?
How can this happen to ME?
Any and all hints will help out for the future if not immediately.
Thanks guy/gals

Check fuse #32 10 amp in the engine compartment fuse panel
for the horn. Need the codes to help you out in that
respect.

Auto zone checked and the hard fail had to do with the gas cap amongst other possible fails.
Given the fact that this vehicle had about 9 ounces of gas in it when I bought it before I put $20.00 in it to get home, I filled the tank. About 6-10 engine starts later the Service Engine light went out.
Reading all the posts gave me hope it had to do with the gas tank amongst other possible faults, so I didn't run to firestone and give it to them.
Thanks group, Everything helps!!!!!!
