Hey all,
I noticed this issue not long after we purchased our 2012 Frontier 11 months ago but hasn't really bother me till about a month ago.
I can be driving down the road at 35-40mph no worries. Then once on the highway 60-65mph the the truck has what i call a "drifting problem" I'll hold the wheel tight and the truck will almost immediately start to drift either left or right. I'm constantly correcting my steering line. Gets worse when it's windy.
Had an alignment done for free from Nissan and said no problems with the truck.
I read others feel the same way about their Frontiers when it comes to holding a nice line at highway speeds.
Replies would be great!!!!!

Is this a new Fronty? I have a 2007 and replaced the tires with Cooper Discoverers CTS. Holds quite true to the road. But I don't recall any problems like you describe with the factory tires.
Make sure that you are running about 37 psi in the tires, just a smidge above the door sticker value. The factory tires are low rolling resistance tires and that can give some odd performance sometimes.

I have run into this same problem. Not all alignment technicians are up to the task of figuring out how fix that condition. I finally found a tech that could but he has since retired. It is also possible that there is something loose in the steering components. It might just need a little more caster
Try an alignment somewhere else.
Good Luck.. Don S..

From the factory, the Frontier comes with only the ability
to adjust the toe. Eccentric bolts need to be installed in
the lower control arms for caster and camber adjustments.
If you don't get satisfaction from the dealer, you may want
to go to an alignment specialty shop. As lakota mentioned,
the dealer is going to "set the toe and let it go".

Dealer did install the camber kit but it still handles squirrely on the highway. The steering is tight i can feel the response that not an issue. It's any little dip or flaw in the road and she starts to drift. Perhaps it is too responsive??? I'm gonna have my mechanic align it when i take it in next month.

I have a 2011 frontier that I also have to correct the steering going down the highway, about 45 mph and faster it is worse. It has been that way since I bought it new. I had the front end aligned and had it back to the dealer. Sometimes at slow speeds I can feel a slight give in the front end, I think its a faulty Rack and Pinion.
