I have a 2005 Nismo 4x4, V6 No mods, 155,000 miles and still going hopefully.

When at idle the truck seems fine no problem missing and seems to run fine.  Once moving and above 1500 RPM when on the throttle there is a massive misfiring going on with the check engine light flashing. It comes and and goes off constantly. This becomes worse above 2000rpm and above, and I'm lucky if the truck will go above 60 MPH.  Hills are a killer and so is traffic.

Only code is P0300. today I checked all grounds electrically and cleaned them, also double checked battery grounds and removed any corrosion if any.  (I know this isnt a fix but had issues with the ground terminals in the past.)

From what I have searched online the list of issues are the following.
- Faulty spark plug (s)
- Faulty ignition coil (s)
- Clogged or faulty fuel injector (s)
- Intake air leak
- Fuel injectors harness is open or shorted
- Fuel Injectors circuit poor electrical connection
- Ignition coils harness is open or shorted
- Ignition coils circuit poor electrical connection
- Insufficient cylinders compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure.

Two months ago I had a misfire in cylinder 3 and I replaced the coil and everything was fine after that.

Any suggestions on where to start?

Thanks

Michael

Could it be a failing or clogged fuel pump in the tank?  Sounds like you are not getting enough fuel.

Changed the plugs this morning and a no go, still the same after truck warms up.  Used new NGK Irridium plugs, did notice one cylinder's plug was wet with gas.  Not too sure what this means but can it be an issue with the coil pack?  Is their a way to check them with a volt meter?

If it's getting enough fuel when it's cold why after warming up to temp it would be an issue.  How do I check the fuel pump?

At idle, the demand for fuel is low.  You can check the pressure (I am NO expert on this) but the pump is in the tank with its own "filter" so if you need to work on the pump or replace it, out comes the tank.  In my opinion, because of the fire danger, I'd let a dealer or garage do that if it turns out to be the case.  The fact that hills and traffic are a problem makes me suspicious of the engine not getting enough fuel.

Remeber, it is either fuel (not enough as it revs) or spark (bad coil packs that are sennsitive to heat, for example) or not enough or too much air (like a massive vacuum leak).

Fuel pump will not cause a misfire code, it will create a
situation of low/or no power(if the filter is plugged). I
would try swapping coils and see if the wet plug follows
the coil or not. This will help narrow the possibilities to
the coil/s or possible injector sticking. I have seen where
an Air Fuel ratio sensor(old O2 sensor name) can cause this
concern. Are you using a Genuine Nissan oil impregnated air
filter????? May want to run some Sea Foam in the fuel to
help clean things up. If this continues, you will destroy
the cats$$$$$$$$$$$$
