I recently purchased a 2011 Nissan Frontier crew cab
long bed with only 40,000 miles on it. I have been
towing my boat with it (a 16' fiberglass bow rider) and
live on a hill. In order to park the boat I have to back
up the hill and usually do this in 4x4 low. Yesterday
when going down the hill to park the boat I had my
brakes keep going on and off with the ABS kicking in
when I was idling down the hill. I tried it again this
morning without the boat attached and had the same thing
happen. Has anyone herd of this happening or know of
fixes for it? Please let me know or ask questions if you
have any. Thanks!

Sorry I have no idea. It may have got crud in one of the sensors.
If it's an ABS problem you can modify the fuse to the ABS with a wire and an off and on toggle switch.

That could be possible. I was out on dirt roads in the
upper peninsula of Michigan. Do you think that it
would be fixed after cleaning the sensor out well? I
will be cleaning the truck when it stops raining and
hoping that fixes it. I will update after that.

Hope it works.
I don.t know what one looks like on a Frontier.
The one I've seen were a steel disc with what looked like gear teeth around the outer edge and were exposed.
A sensor reads the notches on the four discs and oomputes to see if the wheels are in syinc

After working on my 02 nissan frontier truck (i was work
on the AC . I change the thermo control amp)the air
bag sensor on the dash began to flash . Can anyone
surgest a reason

You most likely accidentally unhooked an electrical connector while working on the A/C.

Is this on dry pavement or grass that it is happening?
The tires may be slipping causing the ABS to activate.
Does the truck have hill decent control?

This was on dry pavement. I did realize that the truck
has hill decent control and it was switched on when
doing this. I switched it off and have not had this
issue. It must have gotten bumped while out in the
woods. Thank you for bringing this up or I would have
started tearing ABS sensors out to clean.
